Hey there! I’m Judi Lund, and I’m happy you’re here.

I started as a solo researcher, then assisted in a large research department, and now I freelance. I’m scrappy, adaptable, collaborative, and independent.

I help product teams succeed by incorporating the voice of the user. I run projects end-to-end and also assist teams as an extra set of hands. I’m adaptable, but my favorite subject matter is health, medicine, and wellness. I’ve been a yoga teacher, postpartum doula, and previously studied Perinatal outcomes as an Anthropology undergraduate at UCLA.

My origin story as a UX Researcher

I was working at a large organization in a customer success capacity when my department encountered a business problem and said “all hands on deck for ideas!” Although I had no experience doing research outside of my undergraduate Anthropology days, I was eager to champion a UX lens to take on the challenge.

I brought my idea to management and presented them with an introduction to UX, UX Research, and my study plan. My superiors were surprised and delighted and so I began as a baby UXer in the wild.

Thanks to the startup culture of that organization, I was empowered to stretch outside my role and contribute in new ways as a self-taught UX Researcher. In the end, my hypothesis was validated and my department could impact behavioral outcomes with product choices.

Growing in the field

After my breakout project, I was introduced to the UXR department and began assisting in larger scale research initiatives. I earned my certificate in UX Research from the Nielsen Norman Group, and continued there for about a year. I’ve since parted ways with that organization and have become a freelancer. I enjoy researching and consulting for teams of all sizes, helping people make their intended impact on the communities who inspire them.

Let’s work together.
